In 2009 Pete Ganley became the Managing Partner of Life Planning Group, a Penn Mutual career agency with offices in Uniondale, Hauppauge and New York City. In his management role, Pete has created a professional environment with a focus on maintaining high ethical standards. His areas of expertise include producer recruiting and development, as well as marketing and creating a team building culture. Under his leadership, the firm’s production and recruiting have increased dramatically. Pete is a proven leader in the financial services industry and views his career as having the opportunity to be a "life changer." Being so passionate about his profession has helped guide many Financial Representatives to successful careers.
Pete began his management career as a top General Agent for National Life of Vermont. There he was a consistent qualifier for numerous company and industry awards; earning the coveted President’s trophy, Wellman Award, The Agency Builder Award and GAMA’s First in Class Award. In 2004 Pete became Managing Partner at New England Financial where he was instrumental in recruiting top producers and increasing production and profitability each and every year during his 5 year tenure.
Pete holds Series 7, Series 63, and Series 24 FINRA Registrations and is a Registered Representative and Registered Principal of Hornor Townsend & Kent.
Throughout his career Pete has been an active member of many industry organizations, such as Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), National Association Life Underwriters (NALU) and General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA). He is also active in the community, participating in Tuesday’s Children, The Nassau Girl Scouts and many other charities at both the local and national level.
Pete resides in East Williston, NY, with his wife Maria, sons Peter III, Spencer, and daughter Leah. In his spare time he enjoys playing competitive golf, as well as supporting his children during their competitive swim meets.

As the Director of Operations at Life Planning Group, Fran DeVito is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations for the entire agency. Fran’s main responsibility is the implementation and management in the area of new business, human resources and communications. With over 20 year’s experience, she brings a wealth of administrative and leadership experience to LPG.
Fran began her career in the financial services industry in 1990 as the new business analyst with MetLife. In 1998 she moved to New England Financial as the office manager and became the Operations Manager in 2005. In 2006 Fran was the recipient of the NEF Outstanding Leadership Award.
Fran studied accounting at Baruch College in NYC and currently holds her Life, Accident and Health Insurance license in the state of NY.
Fran currently resides in Westchester, NY with her husband Joseph. They have two sons, Michael and Justin. Her hobbies include reading, cooking and spending time with family, friends and her dog Myles.
As the Director of Compliance & Financial Controls, Robert is responsible for overseeing all compliance and financial supervision for the entire agency. Having started his career in the industry back in 1998, Robert brings an upbeat positive attitude, as well as a wealth of experience to his role. Through teamwork, continuing education, and a passionate work ethic, he gained the necessary skills needed to succeed. Robert joined Life Planning Group’s management team in the summer of 2011 and has been instrumental in the development of the agency. As a Supervising Principal, Robert is also responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ). Working with the Managing partner, Robert is responsible for the reporting and validation of production goals & criteria for the agency.
Education & Development has always been a focus of Robert’s. He is a 1995 graduate of Chaminade High School, received his BBA in Accounting 1998 & MBA in Management 2005 from Hofstra University. Robert currently holds a NY Life & Health license as well as Series 7, 24, 53.
Outside of the office, Robert’s family is his passion. He currently resides in New Hyde Park, NY with his wife Natalie, and their children, Thomas & Amanda. The Honovic family enjoys their time together by participating in a multitude of activities. Individually, Robert plays soccer, hockey, and loves to cook. He is an avid Islanders fan as well as the Mets & Giants.

James Ryan comes to the Life Planning Group as our Director of Advanced Sales with 15 years of industry experience. James aims to better the financial life of his clients by assisting them to reach their goals. He accomplishes this by approaching each case with a broad financial view, ensuring the incorporation of all areas of financial strategies into each case.
Prior to joining Life Planning Group, James was the Case Design Manager at MetLife for 6 years, where he developed the Agency Case Design Unit from the ground up. At Life Planning Group, James is instrumental working with Agency Financial Advisors consultatively, constructing case ideas that enhance the financial life of their clients relationship, providing relevant, professional presentations and solutions. This process engages the Financial Advisors clientele in the case implementation process for a successful client experience.
James is a member of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants, the Financial Planning Association and was on the Field Advisory Board for Senior Market Advisor Magazine form 2010 – 2012.
Residing in Suffolk County, New York, James enjoys spending time with his wife, Kerri and daughter, Elizabeth. He also participates locally in support of the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County and the Town of Brookhaven Council for the Arts.
Peter Owh graduated from the University of Toronto in 1994 and has been working in the financial services industry for over 16 years in multiple capacities. In 2000, Peter started as a financial advisor in Bethesda, MD with John Hancock. After a year and a half, Peter was promoted into management. After a year of management, Peter was recognized as 1 of 5 sales managers nationwide to participate in the Managing Directors Development Program. In the past several years, Peter has been elevating advisors’ practices to the next level by helping them implement a client-centered team-based planning approach.
In addition, Peter continues to serve his clients and the community with his professional mission "To Give Back To Those Who Serve". Peter offers financial planning services to several associations whose members include active and inactive military, veterans, officers, teachers, and veterinarians.
Peter resides in Deer Park, NY and enjoys playing tennis and golf, reading, and traveling.

Angelina Weeks joined the Life Planning Group in July of 2016 as our Practice Development Coach. She is responsible for working with financial advisers and drive them to achieve exceptional results in their practice through education in sales and business planning.
Angelina has over 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry and spent her career with Northwestern Mutual holding several roles within the organization. She specialized in building and maintaining systems for new financial representative development, managed several areas of the agency which included training, leadership, selection and internship program. Her responsibility to enhance agency development and collaborate with teams gives her the competitive edge necessary to offer systems and solutions for success in the agency and with the advisers.
Angelina currently holds her Life, Accident and Health Insurance license in the state of New York as well as her Series 6 and 63 securities licenses. She received the Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF®) designation from the American College. In addition, she received her Master Coach and Master Training Certifications from Northwestern Mutual.
Angelina currently resides on the south shore of Long Island with her husband Kenneth. Her hobbies include running, biking, golf, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

William Girasole has over 10 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry. In the past 10 years, I have successfully recruited and supported over 1,000 Financial Advisors offering value through advanced sales concepts, training, practice development, and teaming. After graduating Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland in 2006, I began my career at Allianz Life as a recruiter where I was the top recruiter in the company in 2007 and 200, as well as the youngest person ever appointed to the company’s Employee Council. After Allianz, I joined the Producers Group, a brokerage General Agency in NYC specializing in Life, Annuities, and Disability. I headed up recruiting and new business development as well as the Disability department nationwide.
William joined Penn Mutual in July of 2015, working for Empire Wealth Strategies in New York City. As Vice President and member of the Leadership Team, my primary role included Experience Adviser recruiting and development. I chose Penn Mutual due to the support and resources offered on the career Platform, while maintaining the flexibility and autonomy that independent advisors are looking for.
Currently resides in Freeport, New York with wife Karolina, and two year old son William, Jr.and expecting a baby girl in May, 2016. William enjoys playing competitive sports, spending time with family and cheering on the Mets and Jets.
Samantha joined Life Planning Group in 2017 as our marketing manager. Samantha has developed a variety of skills and marketing expertise. She creates opportunities that drives revenue, not only for Life Planning Group, but also for individual financial advisors. Samantha's business foundation and creative eye allows her to utilize many different avenues to fulfill responsibilities including networking, strategic alliances, target market strategies, community outreach, professional seminars, new business development, advertising/PR, and media relations.
Prior to working with Life Planning Group, Samantha has held several marketing positions, with her most recent position being with Leviton Manufacturing Company. She has extensive experience working in many areas of marketing and is passionate about the relationship a consumer has with a brand and how to strengthen those relationships.
Samantha earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from SUNY New Paltz in 2014, and will be graduating from Hofstra University with her Masters of Business Administration in Marketing in 2017.
Residing in Plainview, NY, Samantha enjoys being outdoors, exercising, going out with friends and spending time at home with her two cats.
